"The question is not what you look at, but what you see." (Thoreau)

My creativity is inspired by myths, histories, and physical attributes that connect people with the present and the past. As I thrive in a city environment, my subjects are usually part of an urban scene.

Most of my current art work is classified as photography, but I am actually an artist who uses the camera as a tool and a source of representations to be combined into montages of realistic and/or surrealistic creations. The contemporary introduction of the virtual darkroom has enabled me to integrate fleeting images of life coupled with my imagination.

"A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you, the less you know. " (Diane Arbus)

Previous to my involvement with digital manipulations, I was an etcher and an assemblage artist. All of my creations have been influenced by my desire to combine the past with the present, presenting an illusion, to evoke the memories of the viewer.
